Fresh Pear Apple Pie

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup sugar

¼ cup flour

1 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 tsp. lemon peel

½ tsp. nutmeg

1 tsp. cinnamon

¼ tsp. salt

2 Tbsp. butter, chopped

6 pears, peeled and sliced

3 apples, peeled and sliced

Favorite pie crust

In large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients. Add fruit; toss to coat.

Pour into pie crust. Top with crumb topping. Bake 400 for 50-60minutes. Cover

with foil if needed to prevent over browning. Cool. Yield: 6-8 servings.

Crumb Topping

½ cup flour

½ cup broun sugar

1/3 cup oats

4 Tbsp. butter

In small bowl mix all ingredients until crumble.
