Tater Tot Casserole

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 (32 ounce) package tater tots
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream
  • of mushroom soup or cream of celery
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 350° F.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the onions. Drain fat from meat. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix in soup and milk to beef.

Spread the beef mixture evenly over the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with half of cheese. Arrange tater tots evenly over beef layer. Sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and slightly brown.
